Responsibilities
Recognizing that student safety is of utmost importance, parents/caregivers, drivers, and students are asked to follow the guidelines below.
Parents/caregivers are kindly asked to:
Make sure their child is ready and waiting at the door at least five minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
Ensure that a responsible individual is available, if needed, to receive the child after school.
Have backup arrangements in place in case the vehicle is delayed.
Drivers are expected to:
Treat all students, parents, and school staff with courtesy and respect.
Operate the vehicle professionally at all times.
Remain at the stop location until the scheduled departure time.
Assist with boarding and exiting when needed, such as helping students in wheelchairs.
Inform parents of any student misconduct.
Maintain order and ensure the safety of all students on board.
Students are expected to:
Arrive at the designated stop and be ready to board at least five minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Stay seated safely while the vehicle is in motion.
Act responsibly and follow all instructions given by the driver.
Change of address
Please inform Transportation Services promptly if there is any change to your child’s pick-up or drop-off location. Families planning to move during the school year are asked to contact Transportation Services at least one week in advance to ensure proper transportation arrangements can be made.
Please note: transportation is only available within each school’s designated area. If a family relocates outside the designated zone and chooses not to transfer the student to the appropriate school for the new area, the responsibility for transportation will fall to the parents.
Severe Weather Conditions
In case of severe weather, please listen to radio announcements for updates. If bus operations need to be canceled, notifications will be broadcast via radio. Adverse weather and poor road conditions may cause delays, leading to late arrivals or departures. Parents/guardians should ensure that children are dressed appropriately for extreme weather, supervised until picked up, and have a safe place to go in case of an emergency or an unexpected delay.
